Please contact us directly in the meanwhile via e-mail: info@cemac.org     What is CEMAC ?   CEMAC is an acronym, used as group name for two entities: CEMAC Public Services vzw, a not-for-profit organisation designed to provide services to authorities, government agencies and public (emergency) services, and CEMAC bvba, a commercial enterprise offering similar services to the private sector.       What is our business ?   CEMAC assists organisations - government and private sector - in preparing for crises and disaster. CEMAC activities can be grouped into four categories: Research & Development fundamental and applied research related to crisis & emergency management, crisis communications and peripheral domains, such as applied sciences, chemistry, and cognitive sciences. Research is conducted in close co-operation with a number of Belgian and international universities and research institutes.   Consultancy & Associated Services dedicated services for specific clients or client groups, consisting of: risk analysis, evaluation of existing contingency plans, development of plans, implementation, training and evaluation of procedures and plans, development of a crisis communications doctrine, consultation with local government agencies and emergency services, development of automated / web based contingency/disaster plans, development of multimedia communications systems, ...   Training & Course Development organisation and hosting of seminars, workshops and conferences, development of corporate training programmes, development of courses and course materials for individual clients or client groups, including multimedia training tools (CD-ROM, presentations, ...).   Documentation Centre       Mission Statement   CEMAC aims to be a leading European research and services centre in the field of crisis and emergency management by gathering and distributing state-of-the-art knowledge related to crisis and emergency mangement. CEMAC provides pro-active services (development of plans and procedures, training, etcetera) as well as re-active operational support to its members, clients and the general public.
