General
CEMAC collects information and documentation related to the multiple
aspects of crisis and disaster management.
This includes legislative documents, (hand)books, presentations,
software, manuals, magazine articles, and imagery material (photo's
and video); covering topics such as disaster planning, crisis management,
crisis communications, fire fighting, incident command, ICT support,
medical disaster management, HAZMAT response, civil-military co-operation
(CIMIC), risk assessment and mitigation, evaluation techniques,
recovery and procedural standardisation.
Sources of information are: official government agencies in Belgium and
abroad, sister-organisations throughout the world, libraries, authors,
emergency services, and of course, the internet.
A lot of the information is in hardcopy form and can not be made available
in an electronic manner.
We aim to gradually increase the online document base; partly as an open
resource, partly accessible via secure login.
Submissions for the documentation centre - in any form - are welcomed.
