CAMHIE is a software application and an operational doctrine for the tactical management of hazardous materials incidents.

 

CAMHIE is the acronym of 'Computer Assisted Modelling of HAZMAT Incident Emissions'.
This project was launched in 2003 for the Belgian ministry of the interior. A consortium of CEMAC and the BIOMATH department of the University of Ghent worked two years on the development of a modelling software which permits the calculation of the atmospheric dispersion of chemical agents during a HAZMAT incident.
